Meet: Generation2:28 James Michel is the founder of Generation 2:28, a new apparel company here in Columbus that's merging fashion with scripture. James grew up in a Christian family, so faith was always a critical component in his life. "Faith has always been an integral part of my up bringing."  But 1994 was a pivotal year.  It was the year he decided to make a commitment to his faith. "I was called to be an expression of the Father's Love on earth."  And that's what he's doing now--expressing and helping others express too. James is an ordained Evangelist.  He's been invited to speak at several churches in New York,...

Part I: Memories A memory happens, and -blink- it's gone. It becomes just that, a memory. We all say we will remember and treasure those small moments, but let's be honest, how many small moments do you truly remember? How many times do you tell yourself you wish you would have written something down or documented it somehow? I'm guilty, and wish I could turn back time to record so many of those precious milestones. Courtney knew there were people just like me and she wanted to help them document their lives with photography and writing-not only for them, but for the people who will follow. "Memories and...

Some of these teen girls came from amazing homes and supportive families, yet still faced normal teenage challenges of insecurity and self-image issues. While others faced more difficult situations and did not have support from home. Instead, they had parents who were too busy, too distracted, or unable to give their kids the time and attention needed.  Stories surfaced of girls who had faced sexual abuse from relatives, struggled with eating disorders, or engaged in self-harm through cutting. But, what they all seemed to have in common---...

Her mother originally taught her how to crochet...

Martha discovered at a young age she wanted to use her hands to make things.  At age 6, she learned from a dentist, Dr. Moyer, who lived across the street. It was there, in his basement full of handcrafted trains and sculptures of wood, that she began painting.      "In 10th grade, on a visit to my sister's college, Mount Holyoke, I fell in love with hand crafted silver rings with pockets of enameling." From then on, she was bound and determined to be a silversmith. She studied at Washington University with a famous Finnish metalsmith by the name of Heikki Seppa. His approach was to limit the amount of metal in creating 3D structures and...
