My husband Jason and I are the owners and creators of Craft Show Collective. Since meeting, we enjoy working on projects together and sharing in our creativity. My background is in sewing and design, while Jason has experience in all things woodworking. Together, we come up with ideas for our shop, as we are endlessly inspired by our sweet baby girl. Jason and I have always had an interest in all things involved in creative entrepreneurship, so when our daughter was born, we decided to get into the market of handmade, high- quality goods for mom and baby. Craft Show Collective grew organically from a home hobby to a...

My husband and I met in 2009. We met at the Dublin Methodist Hospital where I worked as an RN in the Special Care Nursery, and Andrew, my husband, worked in the security department. Shortly after meeting, we left the hospital, and I now work in the NICU at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and Andrew works as a Police Officer. We married in 2012 and moved to Hilliard in 2013. We had our first child, Graham, in 2014. He is our  loving, fun, and rambuctious 2-year-old, who lights up our lives. Life was great--and we knew we wanted more children. In 2015, I became pregnant and soon...

When I first saw Pocket Produce on Instagram, I was more excited that they were brand new, than what their mission was.   However, soon after I found out about their mission I fell in love.   Eat Awesome. Be Awesome. I was amazed when we got to visit and get a sneak peak of Pocket Produce, but I was more blown away by their story, and even more so by Natalie’s spirit.   We instantly connected over our past Social Work careers as well as our spiritual understandings.  Because, food can be a spiritual process.  And it is for Natalie.  Food has been this spiritual thing for her ever...

Sometimes you come in contact with someone, and you just know you're going to hit it off--which is exactly what happened with Jessica. I'm pretty sure it was her positive attitude and the fact that she is very passionate and proud of her business--Music Palette. After exchanging a few emails and finally reaching our phone interview, I found out I actually knew her through friends of my family. See, I knew I liked her! What's even better is her business. Behind every great business is a great owner. Jessica has literally put her love--and sweat--into this business. She's remodeled it--with a little bit of help from her brother Jason, who...

We have been raving about Be Girl Clothing, and there's a good reason. The clothes are absolutely adorable, affordable, and designed with love from a local lady named Alison. We first saw her clothes at Zassy's Barn Sale and immediately snatched up a fox dress and fancy swim suit--that, I swear-- can be worn safely in the water. From there, we stalked Alison on Facebook and Instagram, first liking every single picture trying to get her attention---then asking for her story, then asking for something a little more. We wanted her to be the first story we did a video on {with our talented videographer Leigh--that story is...

Natalie is the woman behind Natterdoodle, inspiring people everywhere with her (100% self-taught) heartfelt handwriting and positive attitude. We didn’t get the chance to meet in person, but even over the phone I could hear her smiling. Simply put, her passion is people and Natterdoodle helps her connect with people. But ultimately, "Natterdoodle" is best explained by Natalie herself: "nat·ter /nadər/ informal verb 1. talk casually, chatter; noun 1. a casual and leisurely conversation. doo·dle /do͞odl/ verb 1. scribble absentmindedly; noun 1. a rough drawing made absentmindedly. natter+doodle = natterdoodle Doodled words, especially positive messages, snarky truths and happy thoughts. I started playing with pens and paint as a kiddo. My funky writing eventually turned into an outlet for stress...

Zauber Brewing was founded by my family in 2012 as Ohio’s first nano brewery. With the help of investors, we were able to expand to our 20 barrel brewery and beerhall in January of 2014. It’s never easy trying to start a business and we definitely had our fair share of hurdles to overcome. Two of our biggest obstacles were a delayed opening and a frugal start. Breweries with retail spaces involve many different aspects of two very different businesses under one roof. Because of this, there were many regulatory and business aspects that we had to keep in mind while we worked on building our...

Are you like me-- and love all things local?  I'm kind of obsessed.   Homemade salsas, syrups, keychains, soaps, beer.  You name it.  You can find it at Celebrate Local.  When they first arrived at Easton, the shop started out relatively small, but now they have moved locations beside Panera Bread and have a much bigger layout (as well as way more products). When you enter the store...

I’ve worked in marketing for years, and like many working moms understand, the nightly grind gets tough. You get home from work and as soon as you walk in, the kids ask what’s for dinner. You change your clothes, try to dig something out of the fridge to make, cook, and then by the time you sit down to eat, the kids are getting up because they’re done. And you’re left with a pile of dishes. I was busy, exhausted, and looking to take something off my plate. I don’t enjoy cooking. I know some people make it look romantic, but that’s not what it...

My husband and I had our first child in July 2013. Our son was born five and a half weeks early and thankfully he only spent 4 days in the NICU. He was (and still is) a tough little cookie! When we were discharged from the hospital, he only weighed 4 pounds 3 ounces; I was so nervous due to how small he was. We named our first child George and ironically, he was born on the exact same day as Prince George (and I promise, we had the name George picked out long before we heard it was in the running for the Prince’s...
